Gabryel is a Zelda-Like Pixel Art Game I was part of as a year project during my 2nd year in my school. I was in charge of the artistic direction, Character Design, Environment Art and Composition.
Here's some mockups from the game. It was my first time doing pixel art, and I quite liked it ! What was challenging was working in a quite low resolution and in pixel perfect. I also integrated every scene and did the level art of scenes that were not a fixed panel (like the forest for example). I particularly had fun working with saturated colors, with different kind of envionment and compositing while taking into account level designs' constraints.
